ZEVAS Vraclav a.s., in cooperation with AGE s.r.o., has successfully modernised the feeding technology at its pig fattening facility. As part of the reconstruction, the original liquid feeding system was replaced with a modern dry feeding system from the renowned manufacturer Roxell.
Despite the stable number of sows in the Czech Republic, pork production continues to grow. ZEVAS Vraclav is responding to this trend by investing in increased efficiency – not only through modernisation of technology, but also to simplify operation and reduce operating costs.
As part of the project, three halls with a total capacity of 4,500 housing places were equipped with a new dry feeding system:
The modernisation was carried out gradually, without interrupting operations. Thanks to the reliable limit switch system, the pigs have continuous access to feed without any waste.
The change has brought a clear and measurable effect:
Each year, ZEVAS Vraclav supplies approximately 12,500 pigs, mainly to the ZD Sloupnice and Kostelec na Hané slaughterhouses.
AGE s.r.o. once again demonstrated its technological know-how and flexibility during the reconstruction carried out under full operation.
