Currently under construction: A new bed-free pig finishing barn in Rozvadovice.

ZD Unčovice is expanding its pig finishing capacities at the Rozvadovice facility. With a closed herd turnover in animal production, the farm is increasing its capacity by an additional 1,984 pigs.

ZD Unčovice is expanding its pig finishing capacities at their Rozvadovice facility. With a closed herd turnover in livestock production, they decided to increase their capacity by an additional 1,984 pigs. After successfully obtaining a building permit – a process that took two and a half years – the investment was approved in the autumn of 2023.

A turnkey modern barn equipped with state-of-the-art technologies
AGE s.r.o. is the general contractor for this investment project. Our company not only manufactures its own steel structures and pig penning components but also supplies complete pig production technologies.

  • The facility includes housing, watering, feeding, heating, high-pressure cooling, and ventilation technologies with a central air duct.
  • The barn will be equipped with an air-handling system featuring a central ventilation channel and the latest INNO+ Porcus HighCube water-based biological air scrubber, which minimizes odor emissions to the surrounding environment.
  • Animal welfare will be ensured by the advanced Blu’Hox feeding system, supplied by Roxell Discaflex and Multiflex conveyors.
  • The pig organization is designed into 10 sections with 8 pens each, using penning systems manufactured in AGE s.r.o.’s own production plant.
  • Safety and optimal growth conditions will be managed by the AGE-VENT PIGS control unit, winner of the Gold Medal at the ANIMAL TECH 2023 trade fair.
  • This unit controls ventilation, feeding, watering, and lighting, and allows configuration for up to 12 barn sections.

  • The main pig finishing building (30.8 × 60.45 m) is constructed from a galvanized steel structure with PIR panel cladding.
  • The site also includes a pumping tank, an above-ground covered slurry reservoir, and a rainwater storage tank.
  • Five ROXELL silos are installed for the storage and preparation of feed mixtures.
  • The facility is complemented by reinforced surfaces and an efficient under-slat drainage system for the barn.
